Sync your books: Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB

Updated 15 July 2026 · 1 min read

One-way sync of contacts, invoices, payments and refunds into your ledger — automatic, idempotent, with visible errors and a Sync now button.

Connect your ledger once and Faden keeps it fed — no more retyping invoices on a Sunday.

What syncs

The sync is one-way, Faden → your ledger, and covers:

  • Contacts — clients are created/matched in your ledger.
  • Invoices — raised when you invoice a commission, with line detail, due date, currency and tax treatment.
  • Payments — applied against the right invoice when money arrives.
  • Refunds — credit notes with the cash movement recorded.

Nothing flows back the other way, so your ledger stays the source of accounting truth and Faden can't overwrite it.

Connect

Open Notions → Xero (or QuickBooks / MYOB) and press Connect — you approve in the provider's own screen and pick the organisation. That's it; new activity starts flowing.

With Xero you can connect the Demo Company first and watch a test order flow through before touching your real books.

Reliability

Every record is tracked, so nothing is ever double-created — a retried sync updates rather than duplicates. If a sync fails (expired token, deleted account code), the error is visible in the notion's room and in Activity, and a Sync now button retries on demand. Faden retries automatically and stops after repeated failures rather than hammering your ledger.
