Connecting Stripe to take payments

Updated 16 July 2026 · 1 min read

Link your Stripe account so you can charge cards online and in person, then set up the webhook in one click.

Faden uses Stripe to take card payments — online checkout, saved-card charges and in-person taps all run through your own Stripe account, so payouts land in your bank.

Connect your account

  1. Go to Settings → Payments.
  2. Paste your Stripe secret and publishable keys (from your Stripe dashboard, under Developers → API keys).
  3. Save. Faden confirms the account name and that charges are enabled.

Turn on the webhook

The webhook tells Faden when a payment succeeds, is refunded, or is disputed.

  1. On the same page, press ⚡ Set up automatically.
  2. Faden creates the endpoint in Stripe and stores the signing secret for you.
If you created an endpoint by hand earlier, re-run the automatic setup — it adds refund and dispute coverage.

In-person payments

If you use a Stripe Terminal reader, card-present charges are matched back to the order automatically.
