Follow-ups and tasks
Updated 15 July 2026 · 1 min read
The promises you make — "I'll call you Thursday" — captured where they'll actually resurface.
Studios don't lose clients from bad work; they lose them from silence. Follow-ups and tasks are how Faden keeps the promises surfaced.
Follow-ups
A follow-up is a dated commitment on a client — call about the second suit, Thursday. Set them from the Yarn composer or anywhere on the record. When the day comes, it's on the Bench waiting.
Tasks
Tasks are the studio's general to-dos — assignable to any of the Hands, linked to a client or commission when relevant, visible in the Tasks room and on each person's Bench.
Let the machine set some
The Book's Needs attention view is essentially auto-generated follow-ups from each client's cadence — and Automations can send routine touches (reorder nudges, review requests) without a human remembering at all. Save the manual follow-ups for the calls only you can make.
The Bench each morning = today's fittings + due follow-ups + open tasks. If it's on the Bench, it doesn't need to be in anyone's head.
