Notions: how integrations work in Faden

Connected apps in Faden are called notions — the small pieces that finish the garment. They all live in one drawer: Notions in the sidebar.

The drawer

The drawer shows every available notion, grouped by what it does — payments, email & calendar, accounting, messaging, marketing, shipping. Filter by category, or look at Recommended for what suits your studio next.

At the top sits the health shelf: Nothing broken is what you want to see. If a connection fails, it moves to Needs attention with a Fix it link — you'll never have to hunt for a silent failure.

Connecting

Every notion has its own room with the same shape:

1. Credentials — either a Connect button (you approve in the other app) or a couple of keys to paste.
2. Verify & connect — Faden tests the credentials against the live service before saving. Green tick or a clear error; nothing half-connected.
3. What flows through it — toggles for exactly which events use this notion (new orders, reminders, payments…). You stay in charge of what goes where.

Testing

Almost every notion has a send-test button — a test message, a test event, a test sync — so you can prove the pipe works before a client depends on it.

Activity

The Activity tab is the event log: every send, sync and failure from the last days, per notion. When you wonder "did that invoice reach Xero?", the answer is there.

Something missing?

At the bottom of the drawer you can request a notion (tell us what it is and what it would do for you) and vote on what's planned — requests genuinely shape the roadmap.
