Recording measurements

Updated 15 July 2026 · 1 min read

Versioned measurement sets, fitting mode for appointments, units, and the checks Faden runs before anything goes to production.

Measurements in Faden are versioned — every set is kept, so you can see how a client has changed and roll back if a new set looks wrong.

Where they live

Open a client record → Measurements. Add a set by hand, or capture one live in a fitting.

Fitting mode

Press Fitting mode in the top bar during an appointment. It's a full-screen, tap-first capture flow built for standing next to a client with a tape — big targets, one measure at a time, guides for each point.

Units and standards

Choose metric or imperial in Settings → Production & fit. The same section controls your sizing standard and which measurements are mandatory before production — Faden will hold a commission rather than dispatch a cut sheet with gaps.

Faden watches the numbers

When a new set differs sharply from the last one, the record flags it — catching typos and real changes (weight trend, posture) before they reach the factory.

Clients can help

Clients can view their measurements in their portal, and submit updates you approve — useful for repeat orders at distance.
