Alterations: recording and costing the recut

Log what changes, where, and what it costs — so remakes stay rare and margins stay visible.
Every alteration in Faden is a record on the commission: the area (sleeve, seat, collar), the adjustment (let out 1cm, shorten 2cm), the cost, and notes for whoever does the work.
Recording one
From the commission (or straight out of a fitting-mode session), add the alteration with its area and adjustment. If your studio prices alteration work, add the cost — Faden shows what the alteration round does to the commission's margin, which is how you notice a pattern problem before it eats a season.
Who does the work
In-house, it's a task; sent out, alteration details ride along to your maker like production notes do. Outside alteration shops can be given scoped access — see Settings → Team & access → External access.
The bigger picture
Alterations feed fit intelligence: repeated changes in the same area across clients point at a block or grading issue worth fixing at the source — see Fit intelligence.
