The design tool: garment-first, priced as you go

Updated 15 July 2026 · 1 min read

A guided walk from occasion to finished design — cloth, construction and details, with a live sketch and a running price.

The design tool turns "what do you have in mind?" into a specified, priced garment — at the counter with you, or alone on your website.

Garment first

The walk starts with what (suit, jacket, trousers, waistcoat…) and the occasion — because a wedding two-piece and a boardroom two-piece begin differently. From there it's a guided sequence:

  1. Cloth — from your fabric library, searchable and filterable.
  2. Construction & options — lapels, closures, vents, pockets, linings, monogram — each choice from your own catalog, each carrying its price.
  3. The details — the small decisions that make it a house garment.

The live sketch

As choices are made, the garment draws itself — a tailor's croquis that updates with cloth and style, so the client sees the decision, not just reads it.

Priced as it's built

The running total updates with every choice, from your catalog costs and markup rules — no awkward "let me work that out".

Where it goes

At the counter, a finished design becomes a commission in one step. From your website, it arrives as a submission — see When a client designs.
