How Faden support gets in (only with your PIN)
Updated 15 July 2026 · 1 min read
No consent, no door: support sessions require a PIN you issue, arrive masked, and are audited either way.
Sometimes support needs to see what you see. Here's the rule that governs it: there is no door into your studio except one you open.
The consent PIN
When you want hands-on help, issue a support PIN from Settings → Security & data → Support access. The PIN is time-limited (it expires within a day) and single-purpose — Faden support cannot enter without one. No PIN, no access; there's no override.
The session is masked
Even with your PIN, the support session sees a masked studio: client names are redacted, contact details unreadable, wholesale costs blinded. Support helps with the software — the book stays yours.
Everything is on the record
Every support entry — and every attempt — writes to the audit log, whether or not it succeeded. You can revoke an issued PIN at any moment.
What this means practically
If you contact support and we need to look, we'll ask you to issue a PIN and read it to us — that's the system working as designed. Anyone claiming to be Faden and asking for your password instead: end the conversation and report it.
