The Book: how the client list thinks

Updated 15 July 2026 · 1 min read

Lifecycle tiers, follow-up cadence and next actions — the list that tells you who needs attention, not just who exists.

The Book isn't a flat list — it's a book of business that ranks itself.

Computed, not typed

Faden computes each client's standing from their actual history:

  • Lifecycle tier — lead, new, regular, VIP — from orders and spend, not from a dropdown someone forgot to update.
  • Cadence — how often this client should hear from you, given how they've behaved.
  • Next action — the suggested move: a follow-up overdue, a reorder due, a fitting to book.

The saved views

Across the top of The Book:

  • VIPs — the clients who carry the house.
  • Needs attention — overdue for contact by their cadence.
  • Due to reorder — past their typical reorder window.
  • Leads — not yet clients; see Leads and the pipeline.

Working the Needs attention view weekly is the single highest-value CRM habit — it's your book telling you where the money is going quiet.

Search everything

⌘K finds any client instantly; The Book's own search and filters handle the rest — tags, tiers, spend.
