The Inbox: every conversation in one room
Updated 15 July 2026 · 1 min read
Email and SMS threads per client, assignment, internal comments with @mentions, and the client's record one tap away.
The Inbox (The Book → Inbox) is the studio's conversation floor — every client message, whatever channel it arrived on, threaded to the right person.
The shape of it
- The spine — conversations listed with the client, the last message and who's on it. Folders and views keep the working set small: unassigned, mine, mentions.
- The thread — the whole exchange: emails, SMS, and the amber internal comments only staff see.
- The client drawer — one tap opens the client's record beside the thread: their orders, measurements, history. Answering "when's my suit ready?" without leaving the message.
Working as a team
- Assign a conversation to one of the Hands — clear ownership, no double replies.
- @mention a teammate in an internal comment to pull them in quietly.
Replying
The writer handles email (with subject, cc/bcc, attachments and a from-picker) and SMS in the same box — plus quick templates, one-tap attach quote, and insert article for linking help pages like this one.
Who the email appears from — the studio or you personally — is a choice per message. See Who the email comes from.
