Sending work to production

The gate checks, the dispatch, and what your factory or workroom actually receives.
When a commission is designed, measured and paid to your policy, it goes to production. Faden makes the handoff a step, not a scramble.
The gate
Before dispatch, Faden checks the commission is actually ready:
- Mandatory measurements are present (set which in Settings → Production & fit).
- The design is complete — cloth, options, construction all chosen.
A commission missing pieces is held with the gap named, rather than reaching a cutter as a guess.
The dispatch
Dispatch generates the tech pack — the cut sheet with measurements, options, cloth and maker notes — and moves the card into production on the Board. See Tech packs.
Who receives it
- In-house workroom — the job appears in the queue.
- Outside factory or maker — send the tech pack, or give the factory the Workroom portal and they work a live ticket queue instead of PDFs — see The Makers & the Workroom.
Client identity can be masked on factory-bound paperwork — the maker sees measurements and instructions, not your book. It's a toggle in Settings → Production & fit.
